The Coates Cube consists of a huge (16m x 16m x 12m) cube-like frame constructed from the Coates Type 30 propping system.
Usually utilised for industrial and construction propping applications, in this case the Coates Cube superstructure will house a perpetually moving display featuring other forms of equipment that can regularly be sourced from 180 Coates Hire outlets around Australia.
The display will provide viewers with a fun and fascinating visual experience as they follow the path of a series of balls travelling up and down through the structure by a series of creative and unexpected routes.
Within the space created by the frame will be housed a theatre capable of seating over 200 people who will be entertained and informed with a fun and interactive science show on the subject of gravity (the natural force that much of Coates equipment is designed to overcome).
The science show will be presented by staff from the award winning Scienceworks Museum at Spotswood. The show will provide plenty of enjoyment for all members of the family, while teaching valuable lessons about the natural forces that shape our lives.
